Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients throughout Colorado and New York. Many people find virtual therapy to be just as effective as in-person sessions, especially when comfort and accessibility matter.
-
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important right now. You don’t need to have the “perfect” words — this space is for you to arrive exactly as you are.
-
My primary focus areas include:
Grief and loss (recent, anticipatory, or long-term)
Life transitions
Relationship challenges and marital ambivalence
Emotional regulation and overwhelm
Work-life balance and burnout
-
Most sessions are 60 minutes, and we typically meet weekly or biweekly. We’ll decide together what rhythm of support best fits your needs, goals, and schedule.
-
I accept a variety of insurance plans and am in-network with several providers. Because coverage can vary depending on your specific plan, I encourage you to reach out directly so we can confirm whether I’m in-network with your insurance.
-
Yes! If you’d like to use your Out-Of-Network benefits for our sessions, you can and I’ve made that process very easy for you. Instead of YOU submitting the claim to your insurance, I will do that for you through Thrizer. Ask me about this during our 15 min consultation call and I will provide you with more information.
-
If I am not in-network with your insurance plan and don’t have OON benefits or if you prefer to receive therapy services outside of your insurance, sessions are $125 per 60-minute session.
I reserve a limited number of sliding scale appointments for those experiencing financial hardship.
Please reach out if cost is a concern — accessibility to care matters deeply to me.
-
Finding the right therapist is about fit and comfort. I encourage potential clients to schedule a free 15- minute consultation — it’s a chance to ask questions, share a bit about what you’re seeking, and get a feel for whether we’d be a good match.
-
My work is grief-informed, person-centered, and relational. I integrate mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, and cognitive-behavioral strategies when helpful.
Ultimately, therapy with me is about creating a safe, attuned space where you can explore, process, and grow at your own pace.
